The Living Fight

A small child struggles to take his first steps
Hoping that someday he can run
A farmer fights to harvest his own crops
To make ends meet and do his job
Scholars fight to only scratch the surface
Of an answer for a question
We fight everyday for our own purpose
As time never stops, so must we
Why do we do what we do? Is it will,
Dreams, ambition, greed, love, or hope
That leads us over a difficult hill
And over again and again?
Yes, but it is not the same for us all
We all live for different reasons
To help us up for when we fall.

Happy Memorial Day.  My respect goes to those who have fought for America, thank you.

I like the idea that we are always fighting/striving - the never ending quest to continue and to better ourselves. Nicely done.

I like how we all end up helping each other. We all fall sometimes.
